The Public Clock of Ciudad Camargo is an icon of local tradition, worthy of admiration. The work was completed on June 1, 1892, and was officially inaugurated on June 24 of the same year.
The clock was purchased in Mexico City, the quarry from which it is made comes from Zacatecas, it has three cranks to wind the hour, the half-hour and another for the quarter hour, and they do so with sonorous chimes and repeat the chimes when it marks the hour.
