La Prieta Mine, recognized as the place where Hidalgo del Parral was founded and where it was founded. Currently out of operation, there is a viewing point. There are guided tours of the interior of the mine and some municipal offices. It is the only mine where you can go down to the levels, in this case to the second level, by means of an elevator called Malacate. To see the La Prieta mine from the inside involves traveling underground at a depth of 87 meters above the La Aguilereña shaft. In total there are 25 levels and two important shafts.
