Day 1

Chihuahua - Cuauhtémoc

 
Arrival in Chihuahua

Chihuahua receives flights from abroad such as:

  • Denver

  • Dallas

Domestic direct flights:

  • Guadalajara

  • Monterrey

  • Mexico City

  • Tijuana

  • Culiacan

 

Museum of Mennonite Culture


Leaving Chihuahua , in an hour and a half, you will reach the Mennonite Culture Museum. There you will learn about this culture based on religion and work.

Food at Mennonite Pizzas


Upon arrival in Cuauhtémoc , you can stop to enjoy the famous Mennonite pizzas or eat at one of the various restaurants available in the city. Some options are:

  • Pizzas "Los Arcos"

  • Pizza "La Sierra"

  • "Rancho Viejo" Restaurant

 

Arrival in Creel


After visiting Cuauhtémoc , we will continue on to Creel where we will spend the night.





 

Day 2

Creel - Basaseachi

 

Basaseachi waterfall

In the morning in Creel, a visit to the Basaseachi Waterfall National Park begins .

This itinerary includes exploring the charming town of Basaseachi , followed by the National Park to admire the imposing waterfall and walk the trails that offer spectacular views of this 256-meter-high waterfall, the highest in Mexico. At the end of the day, you return to Creel for dinner and an overnight stay.


 

Day 3

Creel and its surroundings

 
Visit Lake Arareko

Excursion to the surroundings of Creel, visiting Lake Arareco , the rock formations in the valleys of the Mushrooms, the Frogs and the Monks.


We visit the mission where we talk about the importance of the Society of Jesus, who have been in the Barrancas area since the 17th century.


 

Day 4

Batopilas

 
Day in Batopilas

The day begins with a visit to the Magical Town of Batopilas , in the Sierra Tarahumara. Batopilas was an influential international mining center, attracting investors from several countries. Today, its inhabitants are dedicated to tourism and commerce. Old mansions have been converted into boutique hotels and the town retains the nostalgia of its mining past. It was the second place in Mexico to have electricity. During the visit, you will explore the Entrañas de Plata Museum and have a home-cooked dinner in the evening.

 

Day 5

Batopilas - Copper Canyon

 

Mission of the Holy Guardian Angel of Satevó


Before leaving, you will visit the Mission of the Holy Guardian Angel of Satevó , located 7 km downriver, where you will return at midday to Barrancas del Cobre to enjoy a delicious dinner and relax with one of the most beautiful views that can be offered, right from the balcony.
